Press Release January 6, 2003
Washington, D.C January 6, 2003 -- In response to yesterday's dual homicide attack in Tel Aviv by Palestinian terrorist who killed at least 22, and wounded over 100, the Christian Coalition of America today issued the following statement of support for Israel:  "Having returned from an inspiring visit to Israel a month ago, I understand firsthand that the enemies of America and the enemies of Israel are one and the same and seek the wanton goal of killing westerners for their twisted cause.  As Christian Americans, we stand by the State of Israel in their war against terrorism and we urge Israel to fight to destroy the enemy," stated Roberta Combs, President, Christian Coalition of America.

"Our response to these horrible acts is to redouble our support of Israel -- to intensify our efforts to hold pro-Israel rallies in all
fifty states this year to encourage Christians to pray daily for the peace and security of Israel, to plan on continuing to encourage tourism and general support for the State of Israel.  Our fifty state rallies will urge Americans of all faiths to stand by Israel and urge our government to understand that the Palestinian Authority is devoted to the destruction of the State of Israel, and under
the current leadership there can be no discussions until the bloodshed stops," stated Combs.

"Our sympathies go out to the families and loved ones of the victims of this horrible attack and to the government of Israel,"
added Combs.
