PRAYER TO SAVE Gush Katif
by Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu
April 30, 2004
We thank You,  L-RD G-D  of our fathers, for all the good that You have granted us, and especially in the past
years,  when the evil ones of the nations try to  weaken our spirit and weaken our grasp on  the Holy Land and
that they do not succeed.  And while  they shot  thousands of death  missiles at Gush Katif, You, in Your great
mercy, helped, saved, and shielded us with revealed miracles.

And now we are threatened and they are frightening us and trying to separate us from the land that was sworn to our forefathers.  That  we should  flee and give into their  hands houses full of  good that they did not build, vineyards and olive groves that they did not plant.  And all of  this in order to fulfill their evil thoughts, to expel us from our land.

Do not allow G-D, evil to succeed.  Don't let Your Land be disgraced by the cursed evil.  Do not cleanse those
who take Your Name in vain while spilling blood, who want to touch the daughter of Your eye. And to murder all those who want for Israel.

Please G-D,  be merciful with us,  and with all the citizens of the Holy Land.  Look from the heavens and seen
[sic] those  learning Your Torah, in  holiness and purity,  in yeshivot.  Talmudi Torah,  and  other Torah  insti-tutions.  Have  mercy  on  them  and on  the  synagogues,  that they  should  not  become  mosques,  or other  places of worship.  G-D forbid.

Remember all the settlers who gave their lives in order to fulfill the verse of the Holy Torah, "And you inherited it and  settled it."  Remember  all  Your beloved  sons  and  daughters  who  were  murdered  and  burned  and wounded for Your great and Holy Name, which is upon them.  Remember the pure children who knew not sin who were killed, wounded and injured by those who hate You.

Have mercy on us.  Strengthen  our hearts  and encourage our spirit.  Give our hearts faith  and security not to
fear or be scared  of them at all.  That we should  know,  all of us,  that there is no One besides You, that You
are our Father,  the Father of mercy  Who carries us as  a father  carries  his son  with great love, eternal love.

Please G-D,  our Father,  the Father of mercy,  show that there are those  who love  You in this  world.  Have
mercy  on  the  residents of  Gush Katif  and  on  all of  Beit Yisrael  ["House of Israel"].  That they should not be expelled  from their land,  as You  promised us  through the  prophet Amos,  "And you were planted on you land,  and you will not be taken from your land ever again, that I gave to them, said the L-RD, G-D."

And  fulfill  with  us the  prayer of  Your servant:  G-D  dispels  the  advice  of  the  nations, and dissuades the thoughts of the nations.  Many  thoughts are  in the  hearts of man, and it is G-D's thoughts which will prevail.
G-D's  thoughts  will  stand  forever.  The  thoughts of His  heart from  generation to  generation.  Because He
said and there was.  He commanded and so it was.  Because G-D chose Zion, and desired to settle it.  Because
Jacob was chosen  by G-D, Israel  is His uniqueness.  G-D will not  abandon  His People and will not leave His Land.

Do for the sake of  Your Name,  Do for the sake of  Your Right,  Do for the sake of  Your Torah,  Do  for the sake of  Your sanctity,  for the sake of saving  Your beloved, Redeem us  and answer us,  May the  Words of
my mouth and the desire of my heart be Thy Will, my Rock and my Redeemer.

[Amen!  And Amen!]
